The region of Bayreuth pursues the goal of sustainably increasing innovation and future viability as well as start-up activities. This is achieved by promoting entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and start-up expertise and by providing suitable structures.

Innovation promotion in Bayreuth is a well-structured ecosystem that aims to put research into practice. Contributing to this are, for example, the Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (IEI), the Technology and Innovation Labs, the “neuseum” (innovation stage), the StartUpPoint of the city of Bayreuth, and numerous networking activities, event and consulting formats.

With the regional innovation and start-up center (RIZ) currently in the planning stages and scheduled for completion in 2028, Bayreuth will offer further opportunities to actively promote innovation in the future.
